莱昂纳尔.里奇，一生曾获5次格莱美奖、一次奥斯卡大奖及金球奖，唱片销量近1亿张。在洛杉矶奥运会上演唱了主题歌《欢乐通宵》，这首歌后来成为当时国际上最流行的单曲。1984年奥运主题曲是中国观众听到的最早的一首奥运会主题歌了，也是中国听众最熟悉的一首奥运歌曲。那一年是新中国第一次参加夏季奥运会。在我们的运动员实现奥运会金牌零的突破的同时，我们也记住了美国着名的黑人歌手莱昂内尔-里奇。
