《很久以前》（Long Ago）

我愿意谈谈这份记忆，

但是它现在如此模糊 ——仿佛什么也没留下 ——

因为那是在很久以前，在我的青春岁月。

 

一段肌肤仿如茉莉所做 ...

那个八月傍晚 —— 是八月吗？——

我仍能记得那对双眼：它们曾经湛蓝，我想 ...

呵 是的，湛蓝：蓝宝石之蓝。

I'd like to speak of this memory,  

but it's so faded now -as though nothing's left- 

because it was so long ago, in my adolescent years.

 

A skin as though of jasmine...   

that August evening -was it August?- 

I can still just recall the eyes: blue, I think they were...

Ah yes, blue: a sapphire blue.
