Five For Fighting-Chances

Five For Fighting这个奇怪的名字代表的并不是一支乐队，而只是一名原名为John Ondrasik的歌手，出生于洛杉矶圣法兰多山谷地区，母亲是钢琴教师，因此在Ondrasik两岁的时候就已经开始了音乐方面的培训，13岁的时候Ondrasik开始弹吉他并写歌，97年Ondrasik以Five For Fighting作为自己的艺名，发行了第一张专辑，Ondrasik不仅是歌手和作曲家，还是吉他手和钢琴家，也是一个针砭时弊的人和一个评论家。

    Chances 选自EP《Chances》，是电影《弱点》的片尾曲，由美国著名创作歌手Five For Fighting所演唱，歌曲配合影片的励志情绪赚足了观众的眼泪。

    兴趣广泛的John Ondrasik甚至还专门学习过唱歌剧，但过了不久，他就发现歌剧并不是他真正喜欢的，最吸引他的还是比利·乔（Billy Joel），旅行乐队（Journey），埃尔顿·约翰（Elton John），史蒂夫·旺德（Stevie Wonder）和Earth, Wind & Fire乐队的音乐。 

    Five For Fighting意思来自于曲棍球罚则，指的是被罚下场五分钟等候再度上场的球员，Ondrasik借这一笔名，融合自己身为钢琴家/讽刺作家/时事评论家的多重身分，努力地让别人听见自己的歌曲，用自己的热情去实践歌曲与意念的真谛。歌曲一方面希望自己无所不能，另一方面却又体现了无所适从的矛盾心理，人文味十足。
