98度在男孩团体极盛时期，和新好男孩、超级男孩几乎难分轩轾，而98度历年专辑的全球销售量也超过1500万张。不过98度并不以身为偶像团体自满，反而对于自己签在黑人至尊厂牌Motown摩城唱片旗下为傲，因为他们是真正以媲美黑人的合音美声取胜，第一个被签入该厂牌的白人团体。其实最近在英国大受欢迎的BLUE，就是比照98度出道的模式，同样以美声为卖点的4人团体。98度首张精选辑「沸腾精选」把他们历年的好歌一网打尽，还情商玛丽亚凯莉，跨厂牌收了合唱曲"Thank God I Found You"，还有和他们的偶像史提夫汪达合唱的『花木兰』片尾曲。其实在去年底就陆续传出98度即将解散的消息，由于他们曾对外宣布要休一段长假，再加上有传言说尼克要单飞，搞得歌迷们相当担心98度会解散，直到德鲁出面澄清才让歌迷们稍微安心。德鲁表示，他们只是做一个短暂的休息，做一些他们想做的事，他们并没有解散，并希望大家能像以往一般支持他们的新专辑
