《一个明星的诞生》的导演是布莱德利·库珀，同时他也是该片的男主角。该片的女主角是大名鼎鼎的Lady Gaga，这首歌就是由他们两个人一起演唱的。
布莱德利·库珀曾经主演过《宿醉》《美国骗局》，同时《银河护卫队》里“火箭浣熊”的声音也是来自于他，这一次是他第一次担任导演。
