Tom Roush《Home on the Range》（牧场是我家，又译：牧场上的家）是一首经典的西部民谣，有时被称为美国西部的“ unofficial anthem”。这也是堪萨斯州的官方国歌。1872年，堪萨斯州史密斯县的Kansas. Dr. Brewster M. Higley 博士在 "My Western Home"一诗中写下了歌词。1947年，这首歌成为堪萨斯州的歌曲。2010年，美国西部作家评选出史上100首西部歌曲之9
这首歌词作者为鲁斯特·希格利博士（Brewster M. Higley ）。1872年，作为新大陆堪萨斯州史密斯县新移民的希格利，在诗歌《我的西部家园》（My Western Home）中写了歌词。
其后不久， 希格利博士朋友——丹尼尔 · 凯利（Daniel E. Kelley）用他那把简朴的吉他为这首诗谱上了旋律。
《牧场是我家》旋律简单优美，歌词内容反映美国早期移民拓荒者浓厚的田园情怀和浪漫的西部精神，而被广为传唱。
1947年的6月30日，《牧场是我家》被定为美国堪萨斯州的州歌，同时也被普遍认为是美国西部流传于民间的国歌。
而不少国人熟悉这首歌，是当年尼克松访华时，总理周恩来为其准备了两首美国歌曲，一首是《美丽的亚美利加》（America The Beautiful），另一首就是《牧场是我家》。
另外，迪士尼同名动画片《Home On The Range》的片名就是来源于这首歌。
经过多年传唱，牧场是我的家歌词产生了好几个不同版本。有的歌词长，有的很短。
