White Dress取材自我国清代一段鲜为人知的历史传说：雍正年间，出身微寒的鹂妃能歌善舞，深受皇帝恩宠，却因奸人所害，导致声音喑哑，再也无法发出美妙的声音，遂失宠。为了重夺恩宠，鹂妃私下里苦练冰嬉，最终依然没能逃脱自戕的宿命。
打雷女士为鹂妃的凄惨命运与一往情深打动，决定写下此曲，并在唱腔和mv拍摄中运用气声、旱冰等现代元素致敬鹂妃。
