赵朴初（行书）《香港回归和林则徐焚鸦片词轴》

1997年，随着香港主权回归日期逐渐临近,从5月下旬开始，赵朴初每天抄录一遍林则徐焚鸦片词与《自度曲》，拥护“一国两制”，祝福香港。此轴为7月1日香港回归当天所书，笔力劲健,结体严谨,时年 91岁。

Since late May of 1997, Zhao Puchu had been writing Lin Zexu’s ci poem Destruction ofOpium every day along with a qu poem of his own, to welcome the forthcoming return of Hong Kong and to support the constitutional principle ‘one country, two systems ’. This work was created by the

91-year-old gentleman on the day of the return,manifesting good brushwork strength in well-balanced structure of characters.

澄波似镜长圆，如今正合林公语。

贩毒蕃航，收向天边去。

远略精思，光焰辉千古。

紫荆花长伴五星旗，教重洋翘首观吾土。
