爱尔兰光头流行女歌手Sinéad O'Connor和她的两首歌曲

   生于1966年的Sinéad O'Connor是一位着名的爱尔兰流行歌手和歌曲作者。奥康娜演唱风格温柔而又辛辣，音域宽广，这种独特的非主流风格深受广大歌迷的喜爱。除了音乐以外，她还以反传统的行为（尤其是光头）和有争议性的观点而闻名。

    奥康娜出生于爱尔兰传统的天主教家庭，家中8个兄弟姐妹，童年她开始学习芭蕾、声乐，但成绩一般。具有刚强性格的奥康娜实际上才气过人，她14岁便开始创作歌曲，1987年她出版了专辑《The Lion And The Cobra》，里面的作品几乎都出自她一人的手笔，此后她又出了一张《I Don't Want I Haven't Got》，这张专辑获得了音乐界的很高评价，单曲“Nothing Compares 2U”在欧洲各国都拿下了排行榜冠军并使她赢得了格莱美奖。然而自视清高而又常有惊人之举的奥康娜否定这个奖对歌坛的价值而拒绝领奖，这更为她增添了许多神秘感。

    除了她的那首赢得格莱美奖而未领取的《Nothing compare to you》之外，值得一提的还有她演唱的另一首非常有特点的歌曲《Night Nurse》,《Night Nurse》本来是Reggae的代表人物Gregory Isaacs的曲目，属于雷鬼音乐，却被Sinéad O'Connor翻唱，竟也成为了她很有特征的一首歌。
