    Roger Whittaker1936年出生于肯尼亚的内罗比，父母都是英国人。1962年他初进娱乐圈，旋即成为闻名世界的明星。他在德国的成功有些传奇，起因也是这首《The Last Farewell》，而更让人难以置信的是，Roger Whittaker唱了这么多的德文歌曲，而他竟然全然不懂德文，仅仅是模仿口型而已。

    他在60岁那年与他的女儿合唱了一首《A Perfect Day》，他那充满磁性的歌喉让人久久难以忘怀。
